Emma was selected as a writer on The Prescription in 2023, a group of writers working towards an anthology of medical humanities supported by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.

Emma has continued the relationship with the RCPSG to develop their magical-realist play about Mearnskirk Hospital, the NHS, and the value of public land sold into private hands. This project has been supported by the RCPSG, An Tobar and Mull Theatre, and Playwrights Studio Scotland.
